“Never give up on a dream just because of the time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway.”

EQWeQ inspires and enables positivity, aiming to reach personal balance and ultimate growth

My Journey

After being promoted and leading a bigger team about 15 years ago, I got the chance to work with an executive coach. This changed both my professional and personal life. Together we worked on integrating feedback in a concrete way, letting go of the expert role, finding new ways to engage my team and building a variety of leadership styles.
During the last sessions while we focussed on the theme  “what do I want to achieve next in my career?”
I had a major breakthrough.

I was asked two questions: ‘what would you do if you won the lottery?’ and ‘knowing that you could do anything you want, what would you choose?’ I surprised myself by answering what came from my gut feeling; ‘I would stop working.’ While my mind told me I should be grateful for the job I had, providing financial security to my family and supporting the development of lifesaving vaccines. The coach accepted my answer without judgment and continued to the second question. My answer was clear: ‘I would do what you do. Coaching people, setting them free and letting them become the best version of themselves.’ And this is how it all began for me.

I became the head of coaching for GSK vaccines and was able to build a community all over the world, including 200 enthusiastic international job-plus coaches. Together they positively impacted the life of many people during the last decade, some of them even started their own coaching initiatives.

After 10 years it was the right time to take the next step in my journey. I took a sabbatical period and spent time gardening, traveling to Compostela by bike, spending time with my family, but also reflecting, dreaming and joining a new coaching training on positive intelligence. Now, with great energy, I am ready to create my own company. I have a mission to make other people realize their dreams and support them doing so. I’m passionate about coaching, both individually and in group, knowing that I will see them flourish during their journey.

My experience

During the last 10 years, I was active as Vice President Head of Coaching, GSK Vaccines. I had the pleasure to train and create a community of 200 internal coaches globally. I coached more than 100 individuals and over 50 groups and high-performing teams. In 2016 GSK was recognized as setting the golden standard for internal coaching by receiving the International Prism Award from the International Coach Federation (ICF).

In addition, I have an extensive business experience of 27 years, working in senior roles in a variety of pharmaceutical companies (GSK, Sanofi-Pasteur-MSD, AkzoNobel). Before joining AkzoNobel, I was very engaged in working with patients for more than 5 years as Medical Doctor.

My development as a coach

My passion for coaching led me to pursue a professional accreditation by the International Coach Federation (Professional Certified Coach).

Over the years I also engaged in different personal development programs & was trained at a variety of international business schools (Hult Ashridge Centre for Coaching, Vlerick Leuven Business Coaching, & IMD Lausanne).

I’m an approved coach to deliver Leadership Styles & Climate feedback sessions & I'm qualified as an approved practitioner to deliver ESCI (Emotional & Social Competency Inventory) feedback sessions (Korn Ferry).
